Transcode movies over Wi-Fi
Converting movies content from one format to another (a process called transcoding) is an important part of preparing video for an online audience. Usually, we take the high-quality footage from the camera and convert it to something smaller in file size, so your audience can see it more quickly. Transcoding usually requires a computer, but with the EOS M50 Mark II this can be done automatically as the footage is being transferred to your smart device via Wi-Fi. This speeds up your wireless workflow by reducing the time it takes to get a movie file ready for upload to your online audience. The original, higher quality file is left on the camera’s memory card for editing on your PC/Mac.
